Guitars!

I'm looking to get a new guitar, and can't decide on what to go for. Right now, I currently have a Fender Telecaster Special II, and am looking at a Strat.
Opinions on what is better, and for what?

    my roommates tell me that they wouldnt go fender but they said that the strat is a good guitar. They say it depends on the model. Both seem good though.

    Well, a telecaster is more leaning towards Jazz/Blues.
    The strat though is a fairly good metal/rock and even Jazz Blues. I've had my strat for about 8 years now, and it hasn't failed me yet!

    I have an ESP viper with emg 85 and 81 pickups. best sounding guitar ive ever played.

    if you like a twangy-er sound go with the telecaster, otherwise the strat.

    You can NEVER go wrong with a strat. Teles are too twangy and hard to take seriously. Maybe if you wanna be a popstar.
